Seagull studio,  on the Voortrekker Rd Laaiplek, is run by Maya Engelmohr who paints in oils, water colours and line drawings. Her subject matter is varied ranging from local scenes to animals or whatever her creative skills dictate. Tel: 022 783 2184.

River Studio Vleddrif, is another place to purchase oil paintings of the river and sea scenes. The studio is located next to a curio shop that sells anything from local honey to fresh and dryed fish.
