Vredenburg some 20Klm south from Velddrif, population 440,000, is the largest town in the area which can provide most of the larger services that one might require such as, banks, motor dealers, Pick n Pay, Checkers, Shoprite and furniture shops. It also has a new shopping centre where most of the national names are represented. These include Clicks, Game, Edgars and Woolworths which includes their food market.  It is the main business & adminiration town that services Saldanha in the South and Velddrif in the North.

Leading from here are two delightfull villages on the coast,Paternoster and Jacobs Bay. Both these are modeled on the Greek Islands.Well worth a visit.
