The town of Saldanha is situated on the northern corner of the largest natural harbour in South Africa. It is some 15kms south of Vredenburg. Fishing is the major industry that supports the town, and one can enjoy sea food at the local restaurants, and buy your requirements from the harbour. It's a paradise for those interested in water sports.The popular nature reserve offers a display of wildflowers during late winter, whilst at the same time Southern Right whales also visit the safe waters in and around the reserve.
